Some Pieces I've Bought For My Wardrobe

So as I said, but a little late, here's my first clothing haul! I think I will really enjoy showing y'all what I've bought on my recent shopping trips in the past couple of months. I'm such a serious money saver when I'm out looking for pieces to add to my wardrobe, so I get SUPER excited when I have a really good trip.

This haul is going to only consist of items from JcPenney and 1 from Forever 21. I don't know if any of you have stepped into a JcPenney since 2001, but you definitely should! They have done a serious re-vamp of the store and they're getting better quality clothes, but the prices remain as cheap as ever! Guess their bankruptcy slashed the prices into like 1/4 of what they used to be. The JcPenney that I went to for this haul in located in Plano, Texas. They have parts of the store set up into little boutique-like sections that makes it super easy to spot the things that you're out looking for. It's not too much of a clustered mess, unless you're in the clearance section! But we all know, that's what I hit up first!

Okay so the fun little fact about this trip was that I was finally cleaning out the inside of my car and found a gift card shoved up under the seat of my car when I took out the floormatts to vacuum them at the car wash. Can't remember what this one was from, but I had another gift card from my mom for things from Christmas that I had returned. (I hate the way that sentence sounds, but I'm tired of editing it.)

So basically I decided to spend some time doing some smart shopping since I haven't been able to go shopping lately!

I scored these AWESOME magenta colored skinnys. Who can have too many pairs of colored skinnys for their wardrobe? I already had these exact jeans in white, so I figured what the heck! Might as well...Also, with a markdown to $5.00, how could you not?!

These blue skinnys are exactly like the magenta ones, but they're a little bit more teal than what is showing up on the screen. These were marked down to $5.00 as well! I'm thinking I'll probably pair these with a black blazer and a plain boyfriend-style tank and maybe some classic black pumps, but who knows?

This little Bisou Bisou LBS is adorable on! It's the classic peplum style, but the material is amazing. I little thicker than what I've come across in stores and a little keyhole detail in the back. I've worn it once so far and got a ton of compliments. $10.00

This little studded dress is SO flattering. I think it's made for just about any body type because the detail in the middle really slims you and who couldn't use that?....Well I know of a couple people, but they were just blessed with some damn good genes! haha I scored this at Forever 21 back in like March, but haven't worn it yet. Not sure exactly what I'm going to wear it with yet, but I'm sure something will come along. $8.00

Okay and this little over sized shirt is super comfy. It's a lightweight cotton tee with a little bit of bling around the shoulders. Yeah it's simple, but pictures don't do it justice. I wore it with a pair of white skinnys yesterday with a pair of gray blinged out sandals and it was super cute. Casual, but cute. $5.00

These Nicole Miller LBS are hard to see, but I have them in white that you'll see too. They're a pair of lace or crocheted shorts that I picture myself wearing with a cute little top with my Corral boots when I go dancing, because it can get SUPER hot in there. They're very comfortable, not too short and easy to move in. Perfect. Maybe a pair of wedges and a blazer, too? They were priced at $20.00, but they rang up for $14.99.

White Bisou Bisou peplum shirt is identical to the black one $10.00.

I wore this skirt with the black peplum top to my sister's Miss Dallas Pageant. I'll insert a picture of us at the bottom. I scored this skirt for $5.00! Don't pay attention to the wrinkles. After washing it I hung it up to dry and haven't ironed it yet!

Just like the black and white one and $5.00!

I love love love these shorts. They're like a neon Coral, but showing up as a weird orange. Who knows what's up with that. They're a really nice material...almost like khaki meets corduroy or something, but definitely not as think. I scored these for $5.00. Cute casual shorts that I picture wearing a white v-neck and some brown sandals. Simple, cool and cute.

This little number...hmm...I just had to get it. It's just a cotton body con skirt with pastel and some neon colors on it. It was marked down to $5.00 on the ticket, but when I got to the register it rang up as $2.00...yeah I've really gotta have it!

My Nicole Miller white shorts just like the black ones. $14.99

I also got this little black top thing that is cropped to wear under stuff that is too pretty to wear a normal cami under. It's just black lace and comfortable. Got it for $5.00.

So all in all (not with the Forever 21 dress) I got all 8 items for $50.86. Not a dollar out of pocket because I had the gift cards. They had some kind of deal where you spend $50.00 and get $10.00 off, so that made it even better!

I'd say that was a pretty successful trip!

Here's the picture of my sister and I. She's in France right now attending Cannes Film Festival. Haven't talked to her much, but I know it's because she's super busy and having a blast...the time difference is a little difficult too. Anyway...

Until next time

XO Kelli
